The faculty and staff of Eastern Illinois University eagerly share your tremendous drive and enthusiasm for all aspects of your life, in and out of the classroom. Your personal and professional development is the cornerstone of our academic partnership that will last during your years here and beyond. It is an exciting journey on which we are about to embark on together!
Both alcohol and sexual assault are significant issues in college health and safety.
As part of EIU's comprehensive and proactive approach to help ensure that students stay safe and healthy, the university is requiring each incoming student to complete "AlcoholEdu for College," an online alcohol education and prevention program, "Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergrads," and "Mental Well-Being for Undergrads". We have joined together with many other top schools in the country in adopting these programs as a component of our alcohol education initiative.
All programs use science-based research and interactive strategies, including personalized feedback, to educate students about these two important topics.
All new incoming students will have required health courses to complete through the Vector Solutions Platform. These courses will become available approximately 10 days after the start of your first semester enrolled here at EIU. You will receive an invitation to the platform to complete the classes directly to your Panthermail. All communication regarding these courses will be sent to your Panthermail. You may also access these courses via your PAWS account under the "Training and Development" tab.
