How to Post an Announcement (News item)
The News widget on the course homepage in D2L allows instructors to post messages, announcements, and important information to students.
How to post an announcement (News item) in a course in D2L:
Note: You may want to type your message in Word first, then, copy and paste it into your course.
- Log into D2L and select a course.
- Select Create a News Item within the News widget
or select the action button (down arrow) to the right of News and select New News Item.
- Enter a Headline. Enter or copy and paste the Content for your message. All other settings can remain on the default.
- Select Publish.
