Dudley House: Start the Tour
Exteriors
The Dudley House irregular floor plan with projecting gables and bays. These are features of Queen Anne Revival architecture. One of the most distinctive features of the house is the quarter circular wraparound entrance porch on the first floor. This porch was once enclosed. The second story porch is recessed under the gable on the west side. The house features well proportioned and executed milled trimwork and rounded corners.
The house has two floors, a full unfinished basement, and an unfinished attic. The first floor consists of the hall way, the living rooms, the dining room, the kitchen, bathroom facilities, and the Coles County Historical Society office. The second floor has a hallway, bathroom facilities, and four bedrooms.
To protect privacy of the tenant, the tour will feature only rooms on the first floor.
