The central mission of the undergraduate BS in Electrical Engineering is to teach students the theory and practice of the Electrical Engineer. Students learn how to apply science principles to real-world problems. The tools of the engineer are science, mathematics, and technology, and students will learn to marry these fields in useful ways for the betterment of humanity.
It is the goal of the program to become ABET accredited. The curriculum is designed to fulfill and exceed the requirements of that accreditation. Students will follow a core curriculum that includes basic science and math as well as upper-level courses in Electrical Engineering and Physics. Students will learn teamwork through collaborative activities throughout the program. Students will participate in internships to get real-world experience. Research experiences are also available for students so inclined. It is our goal to provide a complete educational experience for each student that prepares them to enter the workforce as an Engineer.
