The Eastern Illinois University Electrical Engineering Program is a joint venture between the Physics Department and the Engineering Technology Department. To a significant extent, it is located in the Physical Science Building on Fourth Street in Charleston, IL. The program currently has 5 faculty who will teach the curriculum in Physics and Electrical Engineering. Eastern Illinois University started out as a State Teachers College, so the roots of the program are based in a culture of excellence in teaching with the emphasis on student learning. The richness of educational opportunities offered in the program is based upon a long and distinguished tradition of teaching and research. The strength of the program is founded in a long tradition of an exceptional Pre-Engineering Program combined with a particular strength in the Physics Department related to Electrical Engineering topics.

Upon admission, new freshmen will be asked to submit an enrollment deposit by May 1, and all students living on campus a housing deposit by June 12. Prior to your arrival on campus, all first-time students will also be asked to complete a medical examination form and will be contacted regarding your class schedule, housing accommodations and other details.
