Graduate Assistantships

EIU’s KSR department offers five exercise physiology graduate assistantships each year. This is a great opportunity for graduate students, accepted to the KSR Exercise Physiology program, who want to gain hands-on experiences in addition to traditional graduate coursework.

Degrees

Exercise Physiology

Students in our Exercise Physiology concentration have flexibility in their course work to prepare for careers in scientifically based exercise programs with an emphasis on cardiac rehabilitation and adult fitness or personal training and strength and conditioning. Sports Administration

Students in our Sports Administration concentration take courses in a curriculum modeled after the standards of the Commission on Sports Management Accreditation (COSMA). The concentration provides unique opportunities for our students by partnering with local, regional, national, and global sport organizations to provide students with practical experience while enrolled at EIU.
