The department of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation at Eastern Illinois University offers high-quality Master of Science degrees in exercise physiology and sports administration.
Both programs prepare students to be leaders in their chosen field by integrating scholarly activity and a challenging curriculum. Students in our Exercise Physiology concentration have flexibility in their course work to prepare for careers in scientifically based exercise programs with an emphasis on cardiac rehabilitation and adult fitness or personal training and strength and conditioning. Students in our Sports Administration concentration take courses in a curriculum modeled after the standards of the Commission on Sports Management Accreditation (COSMA). The concentration provides unique opportunities for our students by partnering with local, regional, national, and global sport organizations to provide students with practical experience while enrolled at EIU. Dr. Lee Ann Price earned a BS in Physical Education with Athletic Training from EIU, an MS in Physical Education with Sports Administration from EIU and a EdD Curriculum & Instruction in Higher Education from Illinois State University. In addition to being the Director or the Athletic Training Education program, Dr. Price teaches KSR 2130, KSR 3142, KSR 3144 and KSR 3154.
