As adults, we often take to crafting in pursuit of an aesthetic and forget what led us to enjoy art in the first place. We may find that joy again if we can learn to explore our minds without judgment and remain present in the moment of making. The only expectation is that what you create is a true expression of yourself. Bring your pencils and a notebook and leave self-deprecation at the door. Come create with care using the loose instructions you'll receive in this workshop. There will be extra creative guides to take home with you at the end of the session.
Your guide will be artist Lilly Ames, whose work will be on view in the Tarble galleries as part of the 2023 MA in Studio Art Exhibition from April 1 through May 6.
