It is our mission to provide medical services and health education programs which enhance the ability of students to participate fully in intellectual and personal growth opportunities afforded by the university.
Funding for visits to the Health & Counseling Services, Medical Clinic and use of the Pharmacy is supplemented by the ”Health Services” student fee that is automatically billed through the students’ tuition and fees. The same services are available to both full and part-time students at the corresponding student fee rates. Visit the Medical Clinic website for more.
We wish to promote a safe and enjoyable environment, encourage participation, and promote healthy lifestyles. Campus Recreation serves primarily EIU students because our facilities and programs are supported through required student fees. Visit the Campus Rec website for more.
Each year, the Eastern Illinois University's Counseling Clinic provides personal counseling to over 600 undergraduate and graduate students. Students visit the Counseling Clinic for a wide variety of struggles and concerns including, but not limited to, the possible challenges and stress with the transition from high school to university life.Visit the Counseling Clinic website for more.
The Health Education Resource Center serves as a resource for students, faculty, and staff by providing programs, campaigns, interventions, and one-on-one consultations regarding health-related topics. Visit the HERC for more.
