NOTICE OF CIVIL SERVICE ADVISORY COMMITTEE ELECTION FOR EIU REPRESENTATIVE
A reminder that Statement of Candidacy forms for the Employee Advisory Committee (EAC) election, representing Eastern Illinois University, are available in the Human Resources Director’s Office located in Old Main, Room 2010. The last day to submit the Petition and Statement of Candidacy Forms will be close of business on Friday, September 25th.
Candidates who wish to withdraw from the election ballot must do so by Wednesday, September 30th.
An official list of candidates and their qualifications will be made available on or before Monday, October 5th. The election will be held on Tuesday, October 20th from 8 am to 5 pm for civil service employees only.
To be eligible for nomination and election to membership on this committee, a civil service employee must meet the following qualifications: (1) have a full-time certified status appointment in the system; and (2) have at least three current consecutive years of civil service employment in an institution currently served by the State University Civil Service System at the time the candidate picks up the petition and statement of candidacy. Again, forms may be picked up in Human Resources, Room 2010 Old Main, beginning Friday, September 18th.
The appointment term will be for four years, from January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2024.
