Dear Colleagues:

Thank you for your hard work this semester in providing a superior education for our students. I hear from students time and time again how much they appreciate the caring, personal attention you give in their courses and in their student life. Our work is important to our students, our community, our state, and our nation. You work long and hard to make the Eastern educational experience second to none, and I appreciate it.

We have had much to celebrate this fall: our US News rankings have improved, we have named our honors college, Phase 2 of the CENCERE building is nearing completion, and our NCA site visit went extremely well. These accomplishments have occurred because of your hard work and commitment to excellence.

The upcoming holidays offer opportunities for rest and renewal with family and friends. I wish you the very best for the holidays and for the new year.
