Subject: Faculty Technology Results/Report
Dear Colleagues,
Welcome back! I know this time of year is busy for all of you and as such, I will not take up too much of your time. During the spring 2014 semester, CATS invited all instructional faculty members to participate in a study on exploring their experiences, perceptions, and expectations about Academic Technology. This project was a collaborative effort among CATS, EDUCAUSE Center for Analysis and Research, and 200 other institutions. We would like to report that the study was a great success and would like to thank all of those who participated. I invite you to read the report, 2014 Faculty Study: Teaching and Learning Technologies. To access the report, please visit the following web address: http://www.eiu.edu/cats/home/tech_study.php
Again, thank you to those who participate and we look forward to your feedback. Next spring, we will be conducting this study again, and it is our hope that more will participate in these studies over the next several years.
If you have any questions about the report or results, please contact either myself, John Henderson at jghenderson@eiu.edu or by phone at 581-3020 or Clinton Brown, Research Assistant, Center for Academic Technology Support at clbrown3@eiu.edu or by phone at 581-5656. The student technology study report will be available at the end of September.
I hope that the semester is off to a great start, and if there is any way the Center for Academic Technology Support may be of assistance to you or your students please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
John G. Henderson
