Panther Marching Band Scholarships
Outstanding prospective PMB students are invited to apply for a one-year scholarship which can range from $250 to $1000. Awards are available all non-music majors for the first year of participation in Panther Marching Band. To apply for a PMB scholarship, use the "Apply Now!" below. To complete you application, please upload a short video demonstrating the following items:
Woodwinds and Brass Applicants:
- Perform a two octave scale of your choice in quarter notes at a tempo between quarter note = 80-120
- Perform a 30 second excerpt of your choice. This excerpt can be from a solo, etude or several significant sections from your concert, marching or jazz ensemble music.
Percussion Applicants:
- Perform a 30 second segment demonstrating two warm-up exercises
- Perform a 30-45 second significant segment from your marching band or winter drumline show.
Color Guard Applicants, submit one of the following:
- Perform a 60 second flag-based routine to pre-recorded music demonstrating your color guard skills. You may include elements of dance if you wish.
- Submit a video of your high school / college marching band or winter guard performing a full piece. Please indicate where you are in the opening and closing placements as well as any other clearly defined locations so that we can track where you are throughout the routine.
Note: With the exception of Color Guard Applicants, prospective music minors who have already completed a music audition do not need to submit a video audition.
