KSR 4275 - Field Experience
Description:
An individually planned work experience in a business, agency, or program appropriate to the student's area of specialization. The internship experience is designed to familiarize students with both one's field of study as well as the process of obtaining employment.
Purpose & Expectations:
An internship provides an excellent networking opportunity that could lead to full-time employment. It is expected that you will dress, speak, and act professionally at all times. Your professionalism will strongly influence the job opportunities you receive following your internship. You are receiving college credit for the internship and therefore, it should take priority over other commitments.
Prerequisites for Registration:
- Completion of all KSR prefixed coursework for the Exercise Science or Sport Management degree - meet with your undergraduate advisor to determine your eligibility for an internship and whether you need to enroll in KSR 4275 for 6 credits (requires 240 hours of internship work experience), 7 credits (requires 280 hours of internship work experience), 8 credits (requires 320 hours of internship work experience), or 9 credits (requires 360 hours of internship work experience).
- Submission of a Degree Audit signed by your advisor verifying you have completed all KSR coursework, the Internship Proposal Form, and the Internship Agreement Form to Colleen Kattenbraker, KSR Internship Coordinator.
