Welcome to Training and Development

The Office of Training and Development provides programs and other assistance to ensure employees are afforded the opportunity to maximize their effectiveness as members of the university community and to magnify their contribution to the success of the university.

State-Mandated Required Training

As Eastern Illinois University employees, we are required to complete 3 types of trainings:

1. Ethics (including Preventing Harassment and Discrimination) (mandatory within 30 days of employment)
2. Identity Protection Act (IPA)
3. Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act (ANCRA)

Each training has its own origin, rules, and time frame.

All new employees are required to complete the trainings as soon as they are hired. Subsequent training varies upon the type of employment.
