(Misty Rhoads, 2009 President of the CEPS Alumni Board)
Welcome home! Whether you graduated from our college 50 years ago or just last year we are anxious to bring you back home and connect you with other classmates and graduates because we know that each one of you has something to offer.
The graduates of the College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) number nearly 24,000 from a variety of departments: Counseling and Student Development; Early Childhood, Elementary, and Middle Level Education; Educational Leadership; Health Studies; Kinesiology and Sports Studies (Physical Education); Recreation Administration; and Special Education.
Recently, the CEPS Alumni Board has established three awards to honor our graduates and their contributions to society and future generations and we encourage you to nominate those you feel have done an outstanding job.
The CEPS Alumni Board is dedicated to reconnecting alumni to our College by starting a database to help CEPS alumni connect with each other and the college. We’re also working on hosting events that would bring alumni together from across the nation.
On behalf of the CEPS Alumni Board, we thank you for your continued contributions to the field and hope to see you at an EIU event in the near future!
Gilbert K Chesterson said that “Education is simply the soul of a society as it passesfrom one generation to another.”
