Below is a brief overview of the CCR&R policies. Copies of individual policies in their entirety are available upon written request.
CCR&R is dedicated to supporting the accessibility, availability, affordability and acceptability of child care in Clark, Coles, Cumberland, Edgar, Moultrie and Shelby counties in Illinois. We strive to accomplish this mission in a professional manner, respecting the clientele we serve. We also ask that clientele treat staff respectfully.
CCR&R incorporates the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services Complaint Policy Draft amended January 31, 1991. Upon receiving a complaint against a child care provider, CCR&R determines whether the complaint involves the possiblity of child abuse or neglect, licensing violation, or business/personal.
The CCR&R staff will adhere to confidentiality. Confidentiality applies to information about our customers: parents, families, providers and community members. Our aim is to gain information to help us provide quality services for our customers. The information is only for use in providing our CCR&R services. The information is not for informal discussions or dissemination outside our service limits.
Furthermore, confidentiality applies to access and use of the CCR&R databases, as well as information about CCR&R personnel. CCR&R composite data are contractually available to the Illinois Department of Human Services, the Illinois Network of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies, and shared with the community.
CCR&R staff regularly visit child care programs in each county. Programs are visited only to deliver resources, provide technical assistance, and/or training and do not include monitoring. CCR&R staff members do not ask to observe programs and only do so at the provider's request. Resources are typically dropped off and picked up at the provider's door. Visits to legally license-exempt providers deal with objective matters. There may be exceptions to this policy based on IDHS contractual requirements.
Child Care Referrals cannot guarantee information relating to any provider. We are not liable for negligence on the part of the provider. We are not able to recommend or advise a certain provider nor attest to the quality of child care provided.
To inquire about the past history and record of a licensed child care provider, call the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services Day Care Information Line at 1-877-746-0829 or Monitoring Report Search.
