EIU Department of Biological Sciences

Biological Sciences Major

Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences students interested in botany, zoology, ecology and systematics, and cell and molecular Biological Sciences who want to pursue careers in Biological Sciences, including wildlife Biological Sciences, fisheries Biological Sciences, endangered species Biological Sciences, work in nurseries, garden centers, and zoo or become natural resources managers should pursue the Biological Sciences option. Students in the Biological Sciences option are encouraged to complete an undergraduate research project with a faculty mentor in the department or to apply for a research experience in Biological Sciences at another university.
