Program Overview
Students
Aging Studies students come with a variety of disciplinary backgrounds. Some examples include: human services program administration, family and consumer sciences, psychology, sociology, public health, kinesiology, sport and recreation. Graduates of the program are succeeding in careers entailing advocacy roles, administrative leadership positions, and coordination of direct care services for older adults.
Faculty
Our Aging Studies faculty represents multiple academic units at Eastern Illinois University: Human Services, Communication Studies, Public Health, Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation, Psychology, Secondary Education and Foundations, Biological Sciences, and Political Science.
