INTRODUCTION

Rob Duffy is a sociologist whose work incorporates elements of environmental sociology, science and technology studies, political sociology, and communications. His research has investigated how the fossil fuel industry, environmental activists, and policymakers blend science, public relations, and political narratives together as they attempt to shape policy regarding energy systems and climate change. Rob joins the EIU faculty as an Instructor in Sociology, where he will teach classes such as Introductory Sociology, Social Problems in Contemporary Society, Social Stratification, and Environmental Sociology.
