EIU Presidential Search

Stakeholder Forums: September 8-9, 2022

Greenwood/Asher will be on campus on Sept. 8 and 9 to conduct stakeholder forums. These forums will allow the campus and Charleston community the ability to have conversations about the presidential search process.

We are interested in learning your views about the challenges and opportunities at EIU and the characteristics we should be seeking in a new President. Your input will be used to develop the position specifications document that is used by the consultants with prospects to design interview questions and to assist our consultants in learning more about EIU.

The following questions may be posed to the groups and individuals:

• What do you think the new President must accomplish in the next three to five years?
• What are the most significant opportunities and challenges the next President must address within the first two years?
• What professional experiences must the next President have to be a good match with the needs of the University at this time?
• What personal characteristics do you think the new President needs to have?
• What are your EIU points of pride?
