Microsoft Office 365 is a suite of cloud-based apps and desktop programs that offer world-class productivity tools for teaching and learning. You may be familiar with the big three applications of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Office 365 offers the big three and so much more. This page provides a list of resources to quickly get you started with Office 365 to improve your teaching and learning experience while attending EIU. Upon admission or employment at EIU every faculty, staff, and student is automatically provided subscription access to Microsoft Office 365.

Microsoft Office 365 is available to every single faculty, staff, and student at Eastern Illinois University!
Office 365 is comprised of online apps that require an internet connection along with traditional desktop applications that work offline, with Office 365 you get the best of both worlds. You can access them from multiple devices, share, and collaborate with other faculty and students.
The Office 365 suite of programs are cross-platform with apps available for Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and with browser access available via Chromebooks. Downloads for the Office 365 Apps desktop applications are available once you log into your EIU Office 365 account here.
To sign-in to Office 365 at EIU, go to the EIU homepage and click on the PantherMail link in the top-right side of the title bar. PantherMail uses Microsoft Outlook (part of Office 365) for the EIU email system. You will use your EIU NetID, password and Two-Factor Authentication with DUO to sign-in. Once logged-in to PantherMail, you will see the "App Launcher" similar to the one on the right, the app launcher includes Outlook (email) along with many of the other Office 365 apps. To see all the apps available to you select "Explore all your apps."
