November filled with music, theatre & more at EIU’s Doudna Fine Arts Center
Oct-26-2023
(Charleston, IL) – Eastern Illinois University’s Doudna Fine Arts Center will host a variety of different shows in November that appeal to both music and theatre fans. Doudna performances in October will include:
- Children of Eden: The Musical; Music & Lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, Book by Jon Caird
From musical theatre greats Stephen Schwartz and John Caird comes a joyous and inspirational musical about parents, children, and faith... not to mention centuries of unresolved family business! Adam, Eve, Noah, and the "Father" who created them deal with the headstrong, cataclysmic actions of their respective children. The show ultimately delivers a bittersweet but inspiring message—that "the hardest part of love...is letting go."

Over the past 14 years this fund helped support equipment, travel, scholarships, and guest artists for the Jazz Studies Program. With the continued support of Dr. Gholson and other generous donors, the fund has grown and will continue to benefit future generations of EIU jazz students. Ticket purchases benefit this fund and are greatly appreciated.
