(Charleston, IL) – Eastern Illinois University’s search for its 13th President continues in January, with the distinguished 128-year old university inviting community members to on-campus and virtual sessions of four presidential candidates who are moving forward in the process.
Each candidate will have day-long interviews with dedicated sessions for EIU staff, faculty, students and the external community. The community portion of the interviews will take place from 5 to 5:50 p.m. on-campus in the Arcola/Tuscola Room of the Martin Luther King, Jr. University Union and remotely. Remote access to the community sessions is available at the links via the meeting IDs below. EIU began the strategic process of selecting its next President following the University’s October 2021 State of the University address, when current EIU President Dr. David Glassman publicly announced his intention to retire in July 2023. Since then, EIU’s Presidential Search Advisory Committee has worked with higher education consultants Greenwood/Asher & Associates, Inc. to coordinate EIU’s presidential search process.
