Are you a leader? Do you have strong interpersonal skills? Do you enjoy planning and organizing? Do you like to implement plans? Are you a problem solver? Then you should consider a major and career in management. Excellent managers are the foundation of all successful businesses and organizations. Managers are responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, and directing organizations.
You can prepare for a management career by majoring in management, one of five business majors offered by Eastern Illinois University's School of Business. EIU's School of Business is student-centered and fosters relationship-driven learning between students and faculty. Management students in the School of Business can reach their potential through a variety of learning experiences both in and out of the classroom. All management and business classes are taught by faculty members — not graduate students — using collaborative and project-based learning as well as more traditional teaching methods. Management majors may choose to complete a concentration of courses in International or Human Resource Management.
