The interdisciplinary Film Studies Minor is devoted to the study of cinema history, theory, criticism and production. The minor is comprised of three required film-centered courses (Film 2759G, History of Cinema; Communication Studies 3530, Film Communication, and English 4904, Studies in Film) and a core list of courses with film-specific content.
Internships:
Many of our students are able to earn internship hours in their major. Please also note that we welcome interns to help facilitate our film studies minor and our two film and video festivals.

We are happy to work with transfer students. You can fulfill two of your general education requirements (an arts requriement and a senior seminar) with film studies minor course that can double count!
