Our program, which results in a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies (formerly BA in General Studies or BGS), is specifically designed to meet the educational goals of adults and non-traditional students in a format and structure compatible with adult responsibilities. We are exceptionally well-suited to serve the educational needs of adults who cannot access university coursework in a traditional manner.
We offer an accommodating schedule, with a variety of ways to take courses. For example, students are not required to come to campus to take their courses, though we do offer courses in the Chicago area, Champaign, and Charleston. Additionally, students have access to advisors via e-mail, telephone, Skype, or on-site appointments. We also offer the opportunity for students to develop a portfolio for the assessment of college-level knowledge earned outside the traditional classroom. Finally, students have the option of earning up to two minors.
We know you have goals, and we'd like to help you accomplish them. Let our staff help you as you continue your educational pursuit. Don't let your dreams slip away! Now is the time to take that next step! Apply now!
