Are you intrigued by children with autism? Do you wonder about rehabilitation for young people with head injuries? Perhaps you wish you knew more to help your parent or grandparent who had a stroke. In all those cases, EIU offers a clinically focused educational experience for students who want to work with individuals with communication disorders.
The profession is in high demand and EIU boasts a 100% placement rate for graduates of the program. Job possibilities are diverse and numerous, working with toddlers through adult-aged clients. Disorders include stuttering, swallowing, voice, language, hearing impairments, among many others.
The program at Eastern Illinois University allows you to shadow and work with clients as an undergraduate student under faculty supervision. Faculty are current, innovative, and applied in their orientation to student involvement and course instruction.
