Program Assistant – Student Affairs/ Belonging, Access, and Engagement

Eastern Illinois University is seeking candidates for a Program Assistant – Student Affairs/ Belonging, Access, and Engagement. The Program Assistant will provide necessary program support to the Office of Belonging, Access, and Engagement and administrative support to the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs. The incumbent will perform a variety of program administrative support functions as assigned by the Senior Diversity & Inclusion Officer and the Vice President for Student Affairs.

Responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:

• Administrative oversight of program initiatives including program creation, program marketing, program design, and program execution within the Office of Belonging, Access, and Engagement
• Assist in the creation of publications for both internal and external audiences in both the Office of Belonging, Access, and Engagement and the Vice President for Student Affairs Office
• Help maintain calendars of events and appointments.
• Assist with marketing/graphic design projects for various initiatives in the Office of Belonging, Access, and Engagement, and the Vice President of Student Affairs Office.
• Assists Senior Diversity & Inclusion Officer in formulating policies for campus, based on judgment and expert knowledge of belonging, access, and engagement.

CREDENTIALS TO BE VERIFIED BY PLACEMENT OFFICER

1. Bachelor’s degree.
2. 1 year of Marketing/Graphic Design experience.
3. Candidate must demonstrate through work history, the importance of a sense of belonging and access in Higher Education.

The Civil Service examination for this position is a credentials assessment. No participation other than the submission of application materials is required from qualified applicants. Upon successful selection of a candidate, all scores will be voided from this Program Assistant – Student Affairs/ Belonging, Access, and Engagement.
