EARLY ARRIVAL
We are continuously updating this page for the 2024-2025 academic year.
All students must use the Move-In Registration System to pre-register for a move-in
date and time (opening in late July). If you are part of an Early Arrival Group AND
if your name has already been submitted by your coach/faculty member/sponsor/etc.,
you will see your correct Early Arrival date listed in the Move-In Registration System.
Most University-related groups have a pre-set early arrival date - if your group is
listed below, you do not need to submit an Early Arrival Request.
If the Move-in Registration System does not allow you to choose your correct date,
or you need to request an Early Arrival for a reason not listed below, please submit
an Early Arrival Request. Submitting a request does not guarantee approval for an early move-in date. Students
will receive a confirmation sent to their EIU email account if their early move-in
request is approved. If you request an earlier date than your group, additional fees may apply. Requests
for early move-in due to personal convenience will only be accommodated one or two
days in advance of August 15.

- 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
For Early Arrival dates of July 28 to August 10: Report to Stevenson Hall to receive your keys.
Arrivals beginning August 11: Report to the front desk of your hall/area. Students in Greek Court will report to
the front desk in Building 8.
DINING INFORMATION
The residential dining centers are scheduled to open for the 2024 Fall Semester on Thursday, August 15 with lunch. However, the University Food Court will be open for business Monday-Wednesday, 7:30 am-2:00 pm, and will accept Dining Dollars, cash, and credit/debit cards.
