RENEW YOUR ON-CAMPUS HOUSING CONTRACT
If you’d like to continue your stay with us on campus and reap the benefits of rewards, proximity, and convenience, check out the recontracting programs below! As a current student, you have the option to live in any of our residence halls, Greek Court, or University Court.
Students living in the residence halls and Greek Court are on a room and board plan, meaning meals are included in the housing and dining contract. Students living in University Court or University Apartments can purchase an optional meal plan.
EARLY BIRD
The earlier you commit, the more benefits you’ll get! Submit the 2025-2026 Early Bird Room & Board Contract and pay the $100 Housing Down Payment between October 7, 2024, and December 1, 2024. Offer good for current on and off-campus Eastern Illinois University students only. If paying by check, make check out to "EIU". Please note that this offer is unavailable to students who want to live in University Court Apartments or University Apartments for the 2025-2026 academic year.
- Students signing Early Bird contracts are given room assignment priority.
- $200 in Dining Dollars + a limited edition EIU apparel item (while supplies last) for every student who completes the Early Bird Contract and down payment by October 31, 2024.
- All students participating are also entered into a drawing to win free room and board for the 2025-2026 academic year.
- The Dining Dollars will be added to the student's Panther Card upon move in for the 2025 Fall semester.
- The limited edition EIU apparel item (while supplies last) will be available in the upcoming weeks.

Regular Recontracting
Regular recontracting opens in February.
- Students must pay the $100 Housing down payment by June 12 regardless of financial aid. If the housing down payment is not received by June 12, the assignment and contract will be canceled.
- Students signing up for Greek Court housing must pay the $100 Housing down payment at the time they sign their contract in order to be counted towards the number of residents in the house.

The Cashier's Office will also accept personal checks, cashier's checks, money orders, or cash payments in person. Personal checks, cashier's checks, or money orders may be mailed to:

Regardless of the method of payment, the student's E-Number is required at the time of payment. Do not mail cash. Make all checks payable to Eastern Illinois University.
