The University assumes responsibility for notifying employees who are required by the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act (5 ILCS 420) to file a Statement of Economic Interests with the Secretary of State's Office.

The Department of Human Resources has the responsibility for notifying employees required to file of the annual filing requirement. The President's Office has the responsibility for notifying new administrative and professional employees who are required to file a statement.

The University's Ethics Officer is responsible for certifying employee compliance to the University President.
