INTRODUCTION
Dr. Kim is a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Management from John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University (doctorated in 2022). She also has B. A. and M. A. degrees in Political Science from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. Before joining EIU, she taught Introduction to public affairs, public management, and public policy formulation and Implementation Seminar for undergraduate and Masters in Public Administration (MPA) students at Glenn College.
Dr. Kim's research interest stands in the interaction between research topics and practices of service innovation, change management, and the creation and management of public values, where such changes take place as governments and public organizations adopt and implement new management practices and technologies, such as Lean and Six Sigma practices, in public service administration. Dr. Kim's ongoing research project can be found in her Curriculum Vitae.
At EIU, Dr. Kim primarily teaches courses specialized in public policy and administration, including Introduction to Public Policy, Public Budgeting, and Research Methods for Public Administration and Policy Research.
