INTRODUCTION

I am a physical geographer with research interests in fluvial geomorphology and tree phenology. My research involves process-based field investigations of fluvial systems and has focused on the flow structure and channel morphology of river confluences and meander bends. I am also interested in human impacts on river systems, watershed management, the role of scale on process-form interactions, the use of hydroacoustics to collect velocity and bathymetric data, and the response of tree species in local forests to climate variability.
