EIU Student Community Service is proud to present the 2nd Annual 28 Dollars in 28 Days!
What is 28 Dollars in 28 Days?
Each organization/group will take $28, along with your energy/passion, and implement a positive impact on our local area (East Central Illinois).
Projects can be any fun idea that you think would have an impact on our local area.
You will even receive your $28 back at the end of your project!
How does this work?
1. Come up with a spectacular idea that your organization thinks will make an impact on the local community. The catch is that you can not spend more than 28 dollars and the projects must be completed within 28 days.
2. Complete your project and document how you made an impact. Documentation can include pictures, videos, stories, or a written report showing/telling what you did and how you think it made an impact.
3. Once your project is complete, bring your receipts (and written purpose of each purchase) to the SCS office by March 10th. Reimbursement checks (up to $28) will be available one week after you turn in your receipts.
Potential Projects Can Include:
Direct Service - Example: Traveling to a location and help local clients/agencies.
Indirect Service - Example: Create products to be distributed to local clients/agencies.
Philanthropy - Example: Raise funds to help a local cause.
Commodity Collection - Example: Collect items to benefit local clients/agencies.
