Jobs in the Radiation Physics Option

The Radiation Physics Option at EIU is designed to prepare the student for technical jobs related to radiation.  This concentration was designed in consultation with people in hiring positions to meet the needs of industry.  Graduates have good technical skills and knowledge base to work in Radiation Safety and Laser Safety.  The Health Physics Society has indicated that there is a real need for qualified Radiation Safety and Laser Safety Officers.  They are also prepared for technician positions in site reclamation.  This major can also be a stepping stone to Health Physics.
