Transfer Prowl - Spring 2013
What is Prowl?
We know college is exciting, but also challenging. So, we’ve developed a program focused on helping you make a smooth transition to your new life as an EIU Panther.
Prowl offers educational and social opportunities for you to learn about community expectations and how you connect to Eastern – Opportunities that will provide you with a solid foundation for both personal and academic success.
Check-in
All new students (freshmen and transfers) are required to check in to the Prowl program and participate in several activities throughout the day.
The Welcome and Convocation session is Friday, August 16, 2013 in Lantz Arena.
Yes, you have to participate!
But with a variety activities to choose from, we’re pretty sure there’s something interesting out there for you.
Following your check-in, Welcome, and Convocation, you will participate in several additional sessions.
Transfer Connections Sessions: Departments from across campus will hold informational sessions on the services that are offered at Eastern. You can hear about anything from study abroad, booth library, or how to get involved in intramurals...the possibilities are endless!
Academic College Meetings: The deans and the faculty will welcome you to the academic community and provide specific information about what it means to be a part of their colleges.
Hit the Ground Running: Featured guest speaker Jeff Stafford will lead you through an interactive and motivational "Orange Slice Training" to help you set and reach goals that will lay the foundation for your success at Eastern.
Saturday, August 17:
