Personal Telephone Usage
The personal telephone usage policy at Eastern Illinois University may be viewed at www.eiu.edu/~auditing/IGP/policy101.html and is governed by Internal Governing Policy 101. In a nutshell, personal phone calls charged to the University are not allowed, with very few exceptions.
What's the procedure for reimbursing the University for personal phone calls?
- The Department Head and/or fiscal agent should send the employee's personal check to the Director, Telecommunications at the Telecommunications Office.
- The department will then be credited for the amount of the personal check on the appropriate University account.
- Please make checks payable to Eastern Illinois University.
- Cash reimbursement is not allowed.
