B.S. Applied Engineering and Technology
(formerly B.S. Industrial Technology)
Technology is a field of study designed to prepare technical and/or management oriented professionals for employment in business, industry, education, and government. Individuals interested in working with people, materials, and processes will find Applied Engineering and Technology provides an excellent foundation for a challenging career. An Applied Engineering and Technology major must be capable of succeeding in the areas of physical science and mathematics as well as in the technological and applied areas. Applied Engineering and Technology majors are typically highly self-motivated and find challenge in diverse academic areas.
The Applied Engineering and Technology program at Eastern Illinois University is one of four in Illinois and 103 programs in the United States accredited by the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering at the Baccalaureate level.
