Welcome to the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) Laboratory

The Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) Laboratory is used to study and analyze the physical properties of materials. Common specimens that are analyzed in the laboratory are materials with a metal coating. This microscope aids in the testing of these materials by determining if the specimen contains any fractions or fissures. The SEM allows for a clearer magnification and can provide sharper images of the specimen. These images can be captured in electronic files and stored for future reference.
