The recipient must be a sophomore Elementary Education major. Academic performance or financial need should be a primary consideration. The recipient must remain in good academic standing each year of the award distribution. The recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student, or may be granted a waiver for less than full-time load if the university can verify that the recipient is still on a degree track, and has accumulated hours appropriate with the program of study and year of attendance. The scholarship is awarded during the Fall semester of the sophomore year and will be paid in equal installments during the sophomore, junior, and senior years. Applications will become available beginning December 1st.
