Description
The scholarship recipient shall be a high school graduate and resident of the State of Illinois. The recipient must enroll in Eastern Illinois University as a Junior. The recipient must "promise" dedication to the teaching of 4th grade students or younger (Early Childhood and Elementary Education). The recipient shall be a person of outstanding character and conduct. The recipient shall be a student of scholastic achievement, a quality needed to provide a young person a proper education. Financial need is a consideration. The recipient of this scholarship can continue to receive it up to 4 semesters. Applications will become available beginning December 1st.
