EIU Panther Pledge

Your application fee will be waived.

You can work closely with admissions counselors and academic advisors at EIU to ensure a seamless transfer.

You could win a $2,000 EIU scholarship just by attending our Spring Open House.

You’ll have peace of mind knowing you’ll be guaranteed admission to EIU and will have a smooth transition to complete your bachelor's degree.

If you have a transferable GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale), you are encouraged to apply to the EIU Honors Program. You must submit additional application materials to be admitted into the Honors Program.

You may transfer before earning an associate degree, as long as you have 24 credit hours with a 2.0 GPA overall (on a 4.0 scale) and a 2.0 from the last institution attended. However, you may not qualify for all Panther Pledge benefits.

EIU agrees to accept all college-level credit completed at your community college in accordance with current transfer and articulation policies and processes.

International transfer students do not qualify for the Panther Pledge program.

This program does not guarantee admission for students who previously attended EIU and are seeking readmission or reinstatement to the University.

Students must adhere to each institution’s standard policies and procedures, including but not limited to, those dealing with admission, enrollment in courses, transfer credits, financial aid, student conduct and discipline, academic probation, dismissal and reentry.

Panther Pledge does not guarantee admission to a specific EIU degree program within the University. There may be additional admission requirements for specific majors.
