ITS Will Never Ask For Your Password Via Email
ITS would like to remind everyone that the University will never ask for username and password information over email and users should never reply to such messages. If your email account has been closed due to suspicious activity, you need to contact the Help Desk. NEVER REPLY TO A MESSAGE ASKING FOR USERNAME AND PASSWORD INFORMATION
CHANGES TO STUDENT EMAIL QUOTAS
On August 15, 2011, ITS will be decreasing the maximum allowable amount of email space to 500MB for students. In order to check the amount of space your email is consuming, look at the colored bar directly under your name in PantherMail, hover your mouse pointer over the bar and it will tell you the size of your mailbox and how much space you are currently consuming. Please work to clean out your email box and empty your trash to be sure incoming messages to your account do not bounce.
PantherMail Services
PantherMail is the web mail service for students and employees at Eastern Illinois University. Some features of PantherMail include:
- The ability to manage email, address books, calendars and task lists
- You may set the start date and end date for auto-reply messages
- Personal and shared calendars and address books
- Shortcut keys to navigate the interface faster
- Email filtering to automatically move email to folders as they arrive
- Tagging, flagging, and saved searches of emails
- The ability to request "Read receipts" on emails
