Freshman Prowl

What is Prowl?

We know college is exciting, but also challenging. So, we’ve developed a program focused on helping you make a smooth transition to your new life as an EIU Panther.

Prowl offers educational and social opportunities for you to learn about community expectations and how you connect to Eastern – Opportunities that will provide you with a solid foundation for both personal and academic success.

Check-In

All new students (freshmen and transfers) are required to check in to the Prowl program and participate in several activities throughout the weekend.

The Welcome and Convocation session is Friday, August 16, 2013 in Lantz Arena.

Detailed information about the weekend events will be available in the Prowl packet that you receive during check-in.

Yes, you have to participate!

But with more than 150 activities to choose from, we’re pretty sure there’s something interesting out there for you.

Following your check-in and the Welcome and Convocation session, you will participate in several additional sessions; some are required. After your mandatory sessions, you’ll join classmates, faculty, and staff for lunch at the Prowl Picnic.
