Kent Conrad received his undergraduate degree in Classical Studies at Franklin and Marshall College. Following a stint in the United States Air Force as a Chinese translator, he received his law degree from Dickinson School of Law. In 2003 he completed his Masters Degree in Accompanying at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Currently he is a doctoral candidate in Vocal Accompanying at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. While at Missouri, Kent served as the accompanist for the Carnegie Hall premiere of "Corps of Discovery", a commissioned opera about the journey of Lewis and Clark. Kent has served as accompanist and assistant conductor for the Harrisburg Opera Association of Pennsylvania and has been musical director for productions for the departments of Theater at both University of Missouri and University of Illinois. Kent is currently the accompanist for the Champaign-based choral group "The Chorale" which has toured Italy and Scotland. Kent has studied piano with Janice Wenger and Reid Alexander; accompanying with Eric Dalheim and Dennis Helmrich; and voice with JoElla Todd and Cynthia Haymon.
