Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority provides service to collegiate bands, encourages the advancement of women in the band profession, and promotes and enriches an appreciation of band music through recognition, leadership development, and education of its members.

Zeta Gamma Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma

Mission Statement

The Zeta Gamma Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma promotes the betterment of Eastern Illinois University’s bands, encourages women in the field of music, and makes every effort to uphold the musicianship and fellowship of its members.

Whitney Lindgren

Whitney Lindgren is currently the president of the Zeta Gamma chapter.  Her major is marketing with a music minor. This is Whitney's senior year at Eastern although she won't be graduating for at least another year. This is her fourth semester in TBS and her primary instrument is clarinet however she plays tenor sax in the Panther Marching Band. Three fun facts about Whitney: 1) She loves to run, and am going to be running her second half marathon in November. 2)Lady Gaga is her idol. 3) She likes to pull pranks on her two roommates! Danny Kent

Danny Kent is currently a senior music education major and Spanish minor, however, he will be here one more year to complete his degree. This is Danny's sixth semester in TBS and is the Vice President of Post-Membership.  His main instrument is the clarinet and also plays the alto saxophone in various other ensembles as well.  In his down time, Danny enjoys hanging out with his friends and family, working out, playing and listening to music, and all around, having fun.  Any questions about TBS, you can contact him at dwkent2@eiu.edu.
 

Tim Mack

Tim Mack is currently a sophomore Music Education major at Eastern Illinois University, with saxophone as his primary instrument. This is his 2nd full semester as an active member of Tau Beta Sigma and he is currently on the formal/convention committee.  If you have any questions or would like any information about our organization, you can email Tim at trmack@eiu.edu, or you can contact any of our other active members.

Ryan Siegel

He graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2006 with a degree in Business Management. He was in the Upsilon Omega class of the Zeta Gamma Chapter in the Fall of 2001 and received Life Membership in 2006 from the chapter. Ryan has served as the Chapter Sponsor since 2007. He still plays in the University Bands in the flute section. Ryan works in the Facilities Planning and Management Department of the University as the Campus Energy and Sustainability Coordinator.
