The Assistant Director for the Illinois Higher Education Center for Alcohol, Other Drug, and Violence Prevention will manage and implement statewide alcohol and other drug prevention capacity building activities for colleges and universities which include: administering statewide alcohol and drug survey, planning and delivering trainings, workshops, and webinars on college substance abuse prevention, planning and facilitating networking opportunities, responding to technical assistance, and overseeing communications, marketing and public relations efforts.
Required job qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in health education/promotion, public health, college student affairs, or similar discipline required; master’s degree preferred. Experience in substance abuse prevention, certification in substance abuse or certified health education specialist preferred.
Position begins immediately and ends June 30, 2012. Employment after July 1 contingent upon grant funding. Anticipated salary range is $2250 - $2583/month.
