Dr. Andrew Methven, professor of biological sciences, currently serves as the coordinator for the graduate program in natural sciences. The graduate program offers a Master of Science in Natural Sciences with concentrations in biological sciences and physical sciences. The concentration in physical sciences also allows for areas of emphasis in chemistry, physics and geology/geography.

Dr. Methven ’s research interests are systemics and ecology of macrofungi and lichens. He received his doctorate from the University of Tennessee in 1987.

Admission to the graduate program in natural sciences requires an application to The Graduate School as well as an additional application to the Department of Biological Sciences. Please contact Dr. Methven or visit the program's website for program admission criteria.
