Greetings Graduate Student,
Eastern Illinois University will be sponsoring an Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU) Tour to be held this summer (Sunday, June 2 – Sunday, June 7, 2013). This tour is designed to take an indepth look at HBCU's and Student Affairs. There are tours of the campuses, cultural enrichment and opportunities to hear presentations from Student Affairs professionals.
This tour will consist of the following:
- (1) Week tour
- Cultural Enrichment (Martin Luther King Jr. Monument in Washington, DC)
- Visits to the following institutions
Winston-Salem State University
North Carolina A&T University
Bennet College for Women
Norfolk State University
Hampton University
Virginia State University
Howard University
Wilberforce University
Central State University
- Special tours of (2) Historically Black Sorority National Headquarters –
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. &
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
- 13 meals included out of 15 meals
- Snacks on the bus
The cost for the tour will vary depending on the bus occupancy
- $610.00 plus tuition (50 participants)
- $725.00 plus tuition (35 participants)

Deposit for this trip is $200.00 due April 1, 2013
